Mind Mapping

In the center of a page of your Project Quartz journal, write a word that represents a topic you want to explore (it could be anything—an idea, a feeling, a career path, etc.).

Around that word, write 5 to 7 words that the central word makes you think of.

Around each of those words, write 3 words that this word makes you think of.

Once you’re finished, review your mind map and notice the connections between things you may not have previously considered.

Bonus: Select 3 words from the outermost layer of your mind map that don’t come from the same branch. In the style of your initial topic, write a few sentences tying these 3 words together. For example, if you were exploring career paths, you could write a job description. Or if you were exploring a feeling, you could set a scene.
